On Wednesday 26th March 2025 the guards presented a cheque for £700 to fellow guard and co founder of The Edinburgh Combat Project, an Edinburgh based charity.

The ECP helps young people of all ages get access to martial arts to them to deal with any mental health or other issues.
The cheque was from part of the fundraising efforts of the guards from late 2024 when they raised over £2500 for five different charities.
The presentation took place just after Bro. Pawel had completed his Fellow Craft ceremony at Lodge Colinton & Currie No. 1029. The lodge has been a long time supporter of the guards and the work that they do.
The Chapter President Jim Wilson wishes to thank RWM of Lodge Colinton and Currie No. 1029 Bro Stewart Walls, and the Provincial Grand Master of Midlothian Bro Robert Law for allowing us to make the presentation during the meeting.
PGM Law was in attendance with a large deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Midlothian as part of the annual visit.

After the meeting had ended, Bro Pawel was presented with his new WSSGS Patch and also his Road Name Patch - GRASSHOPPER.

Chapter Treasurer Steve McKenzie thanked the members of the lodge for their continued support of Widows Sons Solomons Guard Scotland Grand Chapter and their donations to their fundraising events.
